Could you be the full/part-time System Engineer for Passenger Information Systems (f/m/d) in Hennigsdorf we’re looking for?
Your Future Role
2,100 colleagues from 46 countries, including 800 engineers, shape in Hennigsdorf the future of rail mobility. The locally developed, manufactured, and maintained product range includes high-speed, regional, and local trains, subways, as well as trams and light rail vehicles. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll report to the Software & Control TCIS Domain Leader and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
The System Engineer applies the principles of system engineering to the sub system architecture, interfaces and design and to the selection of major components. The candidate performs design assignments requiring initiative, resourcefulness and design experience and provides advice and guidance to other engineers or designers.
We’ll look for you to :
* Deliver the subsystem documentation (Requirement Specification and Architecture Description RSAD, Technical Purchase Specification TPS, Interface Control Document ICD).
* Define and implementing the functional, performance, transverse and train level requirements of the dedicated subsystem.
* Integrate the subsystem into the train (mechanically and electrically)
* Define the Interface (mechanical and electrical) for the dedicated subsystem.
* Verify of the subsystem (focus on train level) including design reviews.
* Change and configuration management process for the subsystem on train level.
* Control of changes after design changes including impact analysis.
* Plan and follow up of all activities linked to the subsystem.
* Support sourcing, suppliers, PUs, S&A Engineers, Interior engineers, RAMS engineers, and validation engineers.
* Provide inputs to engineering team, sourcing, suppliers or PUs.

* Bachelor of Science degree, MA or PhD graduate
* Typically, minimum 4 years of relevant work experience with a BSc degree, 2 years relevant work experience with Master’s degree or PhD degree.
* System Engineering Mindset.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to lead a meeting internally and with suppliers, writing and synthesis ability, curiosity, and constructive spirit.
* Excellent communications skills.
* Very good technical understanding of complex systems interacting in a network.
