What will your day to day look like?
The main focus of this role is about conceptualising and designing the composite features for the teams’ race cars. An average day could look a bit like:
* Outlining detailed specifications of the composite components you design
* Designing both structural and non-structural composite components
* Analysing the performance of your designs in collaboration with other internal teams
* Consistently optimising the designs of composite components for peak performance
* Ensuring the delivery of projects are on-time and within budget constraints
This role is within a fast-moving industry; there will be many opportunities for technical freedom and further innovation as you progress in this role.
This role will suit you if you…
* Have a degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
* Have designed high-performance components in the motorsports space*
* Know a thing or two about tool design technologies and production methods
* Are a strong team player with an open-minded approach
* Thrive under pressure, consistently meeting tight deadlines when collaborating
* Have relevant experience on CATIA V5 and/or CATIA 3DX
*4-5 years’ experience from an F1 team is seen as an advantage for this role.
