Job Description:
Develop, implement, and refine welding methods across various welding processes, ensuring the quality required by the customer.
Responsibilities:
Training Plan
1. Identify company needs
2. Develop a training plan based on identified needs
3. Create a database for each welder
4. Define welder levels or grading by area based on skills
Certifications
5. Support in certifying any required welding process
6. Assist in generating all necessary information for any type of certification
7. Support in creating all types of tests for equipment to be certified, as well as welder test specimens
Reduction of Internal and External Quality Costs in Welding Processes
8. Identify all areas of opportunity in welding
9. Assist in solving welding-related issues
10. Collaborate with the quality team to reduce or eliminate internal and external quality costs
Product Improvement Studies Considering Safety, Quality, and Productivity
11. Identify opportunities for savings through changes in components, materials, or processes
12. Document and justify savings
13. Seek opportunities in welding processes to improve product quality or productivity, with a primary focus on safety
Requirements:
14. 3–5 years of experience in Brazing/Welding processes
15. Knowledge of PROCEDURES (WPS / BPS / WPQ), Machinery, Orbital / GMAW / GTAW, and Laser (only for cutting)
16. Familiarity with ASME standards
17. English proficiency is mandatory
