We are seeking a Network Engineer to fill this key role in our team.
Job Overview:
This position involves designing and implementing networking systems for our game engine. You will be responsible for developing new features and improving existing codebase.
Your primary focus will be on collaborating with project teams to deliver stable and enjoyable multiplayer experiences.
You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain interfaces to third-party online services like Steam, Epic, GOG, PSN, and Xbox Live.
Create technical documentation to ensure that our systems are well-understood by both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
* Design wide variety of systems to support online games
* Develop and integrate platform features as well as modify and improve existing platform technology
* Enhance and maintain an internally developed SDK exposing THQN online services functionality to other studios
* Document systems thoroughly in terms of technical design and end-user APIs
* Provide ongoing support for existing applications
* Optimize network use to resolve issues related to replication, latency, and bandwidth
* Architect solutions for connecting clients to a game server
