Position: Contract Manager Location: Mannheim, Germany – Hybrid (2 days onsite: Monday & Thursday) We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support large-scale EPC and grid automation projects. This role acts as a key partner to project management, driving commercial excellence, risk mitigation, and successful contract execution across major infrastructure initiatives. Key Responsibilities Develop contract strategies and project proposals aligned with guidelines, budgets, timelines, and technical standards. Lead the negotiation, review, and administration of contract terms, conditions, amendments, claims, and formal correspondence. Ensure compliance and strong commercial management across payments, claims, variation orders, and risk reduction activities. Maintain accurate contract documentation and databases, tracking deviations and required changes. Collaborate closely with legal, insurance, tax, and multidisciplinary project teams. Support negotiation strategy, prepare for commercial discussions, and facilitate contract workshops. Participate in close-out processes and ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled. Required Background Degree in engineering, business administration, construction management, or (commercial) law. Strong knowledge and practical experience in German contract law. 5–10 years' experience in contract management in EPC project environments, ideally with complex project contracts. Confident negotiator in German and English (written and oral). Skilled in claims management, change orders, and contractual risk assessment. Willingness to travel (10–20%), mainly within Germany and Sweden.
