About the Role
As a Data Analyst in the retail sector, you play a key role in analyzing, structuring, and interpreting sales, customer, and performance data. Through your data‑driven insights, you create transparency, support both strategic and operational decision‑making, and make a significant contribution to increasing revenue, profitability, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
KeyResponsibilities
1. Analyze retail, sales, and performance data (e.g.sell‑out, space productivity, promotions,sell‑in/ sell‑out)
2. Develop andmaintaindashboards, reports, and KPI frameworks across store, chain, and market levels
3. Prepare billing analyses and revenue evaluations on chain level, including variance and performance analyses
4. Monitor Joint Business Plans (JBPs), with a strong focus on measuring and evaluating the success of marketing and commercial agreements
5. Conduct sell‑out analyses for specialty retail, including performance assessments of individual accounts and initiatives
6. Perform payroll analyses to support andvalidatepayroll runs, including cost and variance analyses
7. Further develop andmaintaina Top Door Tracker toidentifyand manage the highest‑performing and strategically most important stores
8. Analyze and track expert sales performance, including benchmarking and identification of best practices
9. Derive clear, actionable recommendations tooptimizeassortment, placement, promotions, and staffing
10. Support forecasting, budget planning, and ongoing performance tracking
11. Collaborate closelywith Field Teams, Key Account Management, Marketing, Finance, and HR
12. Ensure high data quality, consistency, and transparency
13. Perform ad‑hoc analyses to support management and strategic decision‑making
YourProfile
14. Completed degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a comparable field
15. Several years of experience as a Data Analyst, ideally within retail, sales, or FMCG environments
16. Strong analytical mindset and high affinity for numbers
17. Experience with BI and analytics tools (e.g.Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel)
18. Solid knowledge of KPI development, data visualization, and data storytelling
19. Structured, independent, and solution‑oriented working style
20. Strong communicationskills and the ability to translate complex data into clear insights
21. Very goodwritten and spoken German and English skills
