As a leader of strong engineers, you must possess technical leadership skills and a solid background in software development, enabling you to contribute to the engineering effort when necessary and effectively challenge your team members. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to be very hands-on.

Your Mission
Under your guidance, the team will take on the critical mission of building the Users, Roles and Permissions module of our Restaurant Point-of-Sale product, helping businesses worldwide to manage access control, safeguard sensitive data, and streamline operations by defining granular user roles and permissions
What You'll be responsible for:
1. Be the trusted lead and partner of a development team of 5 members (Frontend, Backend and iOS), guiding, motivating, and developing your team to solve complex business problems.
2. Enhance team growth through effective mentoring, coaching, and constructive feedback, while fostering a mutually supportive, inclusive, and collaborative environment.
3. You model lead-by-example excellence, provide high-quality code reviews and design feedback, and work to drive technical alignment in challenging areas.
4. Lead the way to develop performant, scalable, and maintainable applications and microservices, ensuring high technical quality and operational excellence in your area.
5. Collaborate closely with other teams, architects, product managers, and engineering leaders to align approaches and priorities.
6. Continuously improve our software delivery processes and practices, staying updated with industry trends to influence our strategic direction and foster innovation.
7. Provide technical and process guidance to your team, and participate in recruiting top talent for the organization.
What You'll bring to the team:
8. Proven experience leading a team of developers through successful software projects
9. Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to convey technical information to a wide variety of audiences.
10. Solid understanding of development processes, testing, and CI/CD best practices.
11. Experience delivering horizontally scalable applications and microservices.
12. Passion for learning new things and desire to improve continuously.
13. Solution-oriented and constructive mindset and ability to manage ambiguity.
14. Advanced skills in Java, Spring Framework
Even better if you have hands-on experience with (but not necessary):
15. Experience working with Elastic Search and DynamoDB
16. Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
17. Interest in or experience with POS or eCommerce systems
18. Experience building scalable SaaS solutions
19. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
