Responsibilities
:
1. Appointed Controls lead for Germany and Austria in support of the Country Coordinating Officer (CCO) driving 1st line risk and controls best practices in accordance with policies, procedures, and standards and representing Controls at relevantmittees and forums.
2. Coordinate and/or act as secretary for the Germany Country Coordinatingmittee and CGME Business Risk & Controlsmittee in close alignment with Europe & globalernance models and policy requirements.
3. In close partnership with the Europe Controls team, manage country-wide controls andernance exercises as required by local regulations and or policy.
4. Support the Europe Controls Head and CGME Controls Lead to deliver the Legal Entity Oversight policy and Enterprise Risk 1LOD requirements pertaining to Citibank Europe Plc and Citigroup Global Markets Europe AG.
5. Support and oversee the execution of the Managers Control Assessment (Risk and Control Self-Assessment) program, Controls Transformation delivery in Germany and Austria and executing local controls for International.
6. Supporting the CCO office in executing regulatory change impact assessments and controls uplift requirements on behalf of international, leveragingpliance applicability assignments.
7. Supporting the implementation of new or changed (Controls related) policies, standards and procedures and ensuring on-goingpliance leveraging standardised controls.
8. Leveraging group reports/dashboards, produce, interpret and disseminate the monthly sub-cluster State of Controls Report - driving best practices and setting out concerning themes requiring action.
9. Improving CCO Risk & Control scorecard performance by driving accountability, including self-identification of issues, timely and quality resolution of the issues and focus on root cause analysis and remediation.
10. Support the Europe Controls Head to manage and oversee core Controls programs and projects rolled out by global and/or Europe cluster Controls.
11. Lead working groups in the development and implementation of new risk and controls and represent Germany on the Europe Controls and MCA Working Group.
12. Maintain a collaborative relationship with 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line of Defence partners and represent Controls performance for 2nd and 3rd line of defence reviews.
13. Support Germany and Austria escalation process in line with escalation policy and drivingpliance with global policy and LE specific requirements.
14. Draft and coordinate the remediation of Country wide Issues and remediation plans and supporting/executing on these plans relating to controls and orernance activities.
Qualifications:
15. 3-6 years' experience in financial services with an understanding of risk and controls.
16. Strong verbal and writtenmunication skills; ability to present ideas to audiences at all levels internally and externally.
17. German language skills strongly preferred, English language proficiency
18. Ability to manage projects and priorities across teams and work effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment
19. Balanced blend of analytical skills, problem solving, and reporting andmunication skills
20. Good organizational skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking and following up
21. Experience using databases and other tracking tools to enforce global consistency
22. Excellent writing and presentation skills
23. Experience working collaboratively across various areas of the organization and presenting to senior management
Education:
24. Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
