Europe B2B Media Solutions is a Business Division within LG Electronics incorporating the business groups of Information Displays & Technology. The European Business Development and LED Department has as a mission to improve the penetration of LG B2B Information Display Solutions in strategic vertical markets by offering total solutions to local or international large end customers.
The European BDM for Retail (QSR, Grocery, etc.) will focus on developing the go-to-market strategy for these sub-vertical markets, being responsible for sales growth and profitability, targeting directly existing and prospective new customers across Europe.
Roles & Responsibilities
Belonging to our Europe B2B Media Solutions Business Division (in charge of Information Display and Information Technology) and reporting to the European Enterprise Business Development Head, you will be responsible for developing and growing our business with international customers in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) and Grocery/Supermarket sectors across Europe. This will involve working directly with our largest customers, proactively developing new customers, and supporting our national sales subsidiaries to execute strategy locally.
* Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for the QSR and Grocery sectors in Europe, taking ownership of LG’s performance in these markets
* Manage the relationship with the largest end customers in these sectors to grow LG’s business and expand the scope of business with them
* Define the ecosystem and the stakeholders of the target key customers and develop activities to increase the customer base in the assigned verticals
* Collaborate with internal engineering and product planning
* Collaborate with Marketing to develop and execute marketing campaigns and initiatives
* Position yourself as a thought-leader across both the technology sector and within the target markets of QSR and Grocery
* Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments and overall competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly
* Be accountable for delivering against sales targets
* Oversee pipeline and sales forecasts, budgets, performance metrics, and regularly report on progress to the European Enterprise Business Development Head.
Required qualifications, skills and experience
* Academic background in Business Administration, Marketing or other related field (MBA can be of added value)
* 5+ years proven track record in strategic selling in a B2B environment, ideally in the electronics or software/digital solutions fields
* Experience selling to large QSR and/or Grocery sector customers
* Demonstrated ability in Solution selling and new customer acquisition
* Leading personality, able to inspire, engage and lead by example both local colleagues and customers
* Strong analytical skills to articulate complex issues and solutions with concrete actions and measurable results
* Entrepreneurial and proactive, able to work across functions, business units, and countries
* Strategic acumen and ability to understand and adapt to the B2B ecosystem (VAR, SI, solution partner, end customer)
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with demonstrated expertise in nurturing and maintaining excellent customer relationships with key decision makers
* Excellent verbal and written communication in English and German or French (professional level proficiency is a key requirement)
* Extensive travel throughout Europe required (approximately 60%)
