Overview
TAKKT AG is looking for a General Counsel to shape the future of work. Location: Stuttgart, Germany. Scope: full-time. This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer. Job requisition id: JR100395.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive legal advice and support to the Management Board, Supervisory Board, and Audit Committee, particularly in antitrust, securities, capital markets, corporate law, and corporate governance.
* Take a direct reporting line to the Chief Executive Officer.
* Take responsibility for the Corporate Office, including the legal organization and support for the Management Board, Supervisory Board, and Annual General Meetings.
* Safeguard the company’s legal interests by managing and reviewing contracts with customers, suppliers, and other business partners.
* Lead, develop, and oversee the Compliance Management System, including internal investigations, compliance with new legal requirements, and risk assessments.
* Provide legal support for strategic M&A projects, particularly during legal due diligence processes and contract negotiations.
* Coordinate and manage legal disputes in close cooperation with internal departments and external law firms.
* Develop and implement group-wide legal risk management strategies to support sound business decisions.
* Lead and further develop the legal department, including personnel responsibility, coordination of external legal advisors, and budget management.
Profile / Qualifications
* Fully qualified lawyer with a completed degree in law and extensive experience in a senior legal and compliance role, ideally within a publicly listed international operating company.
* In-depth knowledge of capital markets, corporate and business law, and corporate governance.
* Solid experience with compliance management systems, internal controls, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, antitrust law, anti-corruption regulations).
* Expertise in contract law and legal support of M&A projects.
* Confident in dealings with regulatory authorities, auditors, and complex legal proceedings.
* Strong understanding of international legal frameworks and cross-border matters.
* Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and business acumen.
* Fluent in German and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
* Preferred location: Stuttgart area with on-site presence at TAKKT’s headquarters three days per week.
