BUSINESS UNIT

The Finance Department at HRS plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations and supporting our commercial activities. Within this, the Accounts Receivables & Billing team ensures that billing is accurate and timely, receivables are collected effectively, and financial processes are continuously improved to support business growth.

POSITION

We are looking for a committed and hands-on Team Lead Accounts Receivables & Billing to oversee our billing and receivables processes for supplier-related revenue streams, including individual hotels, global hotel chains, and distribution partners. Based in Germany and leading a team across Germany and Mumbai, the ideal candidate brings both leadership experience and a strong willingness to work at an operational level.


You will take ownership of the complete Billing-to-Cash process for the supplier side of our business. This includes invoicing, payment allocation, outstanding reduction, dunning, and cooperation with external debt collection agencies. In this role, leadership does not mean delegation only – we are looking for someone who actively participates in the day-to-day work with the team and helps drive improvements from within.

CHALLENGE

1. Take full ownership of the end-to-end Billing-to-Cash process for supplier-side revenues.
2. Ensure accuracy and completeness of invoicing across multiple supplier categories (e.g., individual hotels, hotel chains, and distribution partners).
3. Lead and support a team of 5–8 Accounts Receivable professionals across Germany and Mumbai.
4. Work hands-on on operational tasks, including: Reviewing debtor lists and account reconciliations. Supporting unallocated payment resolution. Addressing escalated invoice or payment issues. Participating in taskforces to drive process improvements.
5. Monitor and drive performance in collections, dunning processes, and debt recovery (including DCA coordination).
6. Cooperate closely with internal stakeholders (Finance, Sales, Operations) to ensure alignment and resolution of billing or receivables-related issues.
7. Act as a coach and day-to-day problem solver for your team

FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...

8. Several years of experience in Accounts Receivable, billing, or financial operations, ideally including team leadership.
9. Strong understanding of Billing-to-Cash processes and relevant tools.
10. Hands-on mentality: you’re not afraid to dive into operational tasks alongside your team.
11. Experience with accounting and invoicing software (Exact or similar); Zammad knowledge is a plus.
12. Analytical mindset and high attention to detail.
13. Able to drive accountability, structure, and motivation across a distributed team.
14. Fluent in German, with solid English communication skills.
