Our Business Area (BA) Markets is looking for the right person to fill the position as
(Junior) Trader Environmental Commodities
for our office in Hamburg in the Nordic Power and Environmental Commodities department where we primarily trade Nordic Power, FX and a wide range of environmental commodities such as Emission Allowances (EUA), offsets (VERs and CERs) and Guarantees of Origin (GoO).
Your key responsibilities as (Junior) Trader Environmental Commodities:
* Provide market access to internal and external customers
* Manage a portfolio of environmental products
* Develop and execute own proprietary trading strategies
* Conduct technical analysis as well as mid to long term fundamental analysis identifying the key fundamental drivers and regime shifts (emissions balance, commodities, politics etc)
* Adhere to and further develop the company’s trading standards and best practices.
* Maintain effective communication within the organization and external counterparties (traders, brokers, exchanges, etc.)
Location
Hamburg (preferred) but Stockholm can be discussed
Qualifications
* Strong academic background with a Master’s degree or higher in, e.g., business, economics, engineering, mathematics or physics
* Proven track record with a minimum of 2-5 years relevant experience in the energy market or/and in financial and or trading environment
* Sound risk management and strong Trading technical analysis experience.
* Experience with the EUA market is advantageous
* Decision-making and risk taking ability
* Strong and proven analytical and coding skills
* Strong team player and good communicator
* Fluency in English (both written and spoken); additional languages advantageous
* Result oriented, independent working method with high reliability and readiness to take on responsibility
