Leadership OpportunityThe Head of Cardio-Renal Research is a senior role responsible for driving innovation and shaping the R&D strategy within the cardio-renal therapeutic area.This leadership position influences internal and external stakeholders to position the organization as a leader in the field.Key Responsibilities:Define and lead the scientific strategy for the therapeutic area, aligned with organizational objectivesIdentify emerging opportunities based on scientific trends, competitive landscape, and unmet medical needsChampion the therapeutic area's vision internally and externally, ensuring scientific excellence and innovationPrioritize and oversee early-stage R&D initiatives, from target identification to preclinical developmentRepresent the organization's expertise at customer events, scientific conferences, consortia, and in peer-reviewed publicationsRequired Skills & Qualifications:PhD or equivalent in a relevant life science disciplineMinimum 15 years of experience, with solid strategic and technical understanding of the pharma R&D value chain and project deliverables with in-depth subject matter expertise for cardio-renalDrug discovery experience from target ID to PDC of at least 10 years, exposure to planning of clinical development and trials up to PoC's desirableProven track record in progressing discovery-stage programs and strategic collaborationsExperience in licensing, partnering, and external scientific representationStrong network and credibility in the cardio-renal fieldBenefits:Our organization is committed to diversity and inclusion.
