We’re looking for an FX Sales – Treasury Dealer for our Global Markets Treasury EMEA Division (GMTED) in Düsseldorf to join our team!
Business Area
Join a dynamic front-office team at the heart of FX and interest rate trading, where you'll work directly with clients and contribute to strategic treasury initiatives across EMEA.
In this role you will be responsible for:
* Supporting FX and interest rate product sales and trading activities with corporate clients.
* Assisting in hedging and liquidity management for the Düsseldorf Branch.
* Collaborating on innovative treasury solutions and regulatory reporting
For you to succeed in the role, you’ll need to have:
* Strong understanding of FX and interest rate products, including pricing and risk management.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* High awareness of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., MiFID, BaFin).
Position Description
This role supports the strategic growth of SMBC’s Treasury Sales function in Düsseldorf by delivering tailored financial solutions to clients, managing market risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. It plays a key role in enhancing the bank’s FX and interest rate product offering and liquidity management.
Our role will enable you to:
* Work closely with internal stakeholders across CBDE I & II, Risk Management, and Treasury teams in London and Düsseldorf.
* Build strong client relationships and contribute to cross-border treasury initiatives.
* Engage with regulators and support compliance with evolving financial regulations.
What will you bring to the role?
* Experience in capital markets, particularly in FX and interest rate products.
* Familiarity with treasury operations, client advisory, and risk hedging strategies.
* Strong analytical and numerical skills with a proactive, client-focused mindset.
Desirable:
* BaFin approval or eligibility.
* Experience working in a multicultural, international banking environment.
* Knowledge of Straight Through Processing (STP) systems and regulatory reporting tools.
