Role Summary
Is the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA? We’re looking for a VICE PRESIDENT for our BUSINESS PROMOTION DEPARTMENT - GTBD Group to join our team.
* Marketing on transaction business which increase deposit and profit, and contribute to the growth on both EMEA and SMBC group globally.
* Provide support to customer and internal stakeholder on daily transactions.
* Support and supervise team members in need of assistance, deputise team head.
Business Area
* There are currently about 30 members in GTBD EMEA team including Planning, Sales and Product Development team.
* The current business in EMEA is focused on predominantly on servicing Japanese multi-national corporates. However, with the recent meaningful financial investment, we are looking to improve the client proposition to all clients and expand it to non-Japanese clients.
* Responsible for queries from customers are handled accurately and in a timely manner.
* Responsible for payment queries from front / back office.
* Responsible in taking a leading role in enhancing efficiency.
* Attend front office meetings on a periodic basis as a representative of GTBD and announce any updates that will be of benefit to front office.
Position Description
About this role:
This role supports SMBC’s strategic growth in transaction banking across EMEA by driving deposit and profit generation. It plays a key part in enhancing client services and operational efficiency within the GTBD Promotion Team.
Our role will enable you to:
Engage with a wide range of stakeholders including front office teams, product planning, IT, back office, and global GTBD colleagues. You’ll also liaise directly with clients and senior management.
What will you bring to the role?
* Proven experience in transaction banking and client relationship management.
* Ability to lead initiatives, present solutions, and support team development.
* Familiarity with SMBC systems and ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
Desirable:
* Experience with international cash management tools and connectivity solutions.
* Exposure to marketing financial products across borders.
* Fluency in additional European languages.
