This role offers the opportunity to join an established global HRIS team as a Workday Specialist, supporting a business that has been live with Workday for two years and is now focused on optimisation and continuous improvement.
This role is offered as a 2 year FTC with a fixed starting salary in the range of €65,000 > €75,000 (negotiable) + attractive benefits
This is a fixed-term maternity cover position for two years, based in Hamburg with hybrid working preferred. Remote candidates may also be considered. The role offers the chance to work within a collaborative international environment, supporting a growing organisation as it continues to expand its Workday footprint.
Reporting into the global HR team, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the Workday platform, with a strong focus on functional configuration and system optimisation. The position combines day-to-day support, project-based work and ongoing system improvements, including onboarding new offices and refining existing processes.
You will be responsible for managing configuration changes, supporting key users and driving improvements across core areas such as job architecture, terminations and performance processes. The business has recently gone live with Learning and Talent, and further module expansion and enhancement will form part of the roadmap.
Working alongside HR and AMS support teams, you will handle more complex tickets and projects, ensuring the system continues to meet evolving business needs while maintaining high data quality and user adoption.
Workday Specialist – Requirements:
* Strong hands-on experience with Workday, including functional configuration
* Solid knowledge of Core HCM, with experience in Absence or Advanced Compensation highly advantageous
* Experience supporting a live Workday environment, including optimisation and continuous improvement activities
* Ability to manage and deliver configuration changes and system enhancements
* Experience onboarding new business units or offices into Workday is beneficial
* Understanding of integrations, including API builds, would be an advantage
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Ability to work closely with HR stakeholders and translate business requirements into system solutions
* Experience working in a ticket-based support and project environment
* Fluency in English is essential, German is advantageous but not required
