The Role
The Strategy team is responsible for Canyon’s long-term evolution and performance. Its goal is to steer the strategic direction and growth of the organization, overseeing projects with strategic impact to ensure the company's growth trajectory. As our new Global Director of Corporate Strategy, you will initiate, lead, and execute key initiatives, facilitate board alignments, and serve as strategic counsel across functions, shaping impactful growth strategies. Your role may include identifying new business opportunities, conducting due diligence, and developing long-term strategic plans to strengthen our market position.
Your Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
* Lead the development of corporate strategy in collaboration with C-Level executives, senior management, and the Board.
* Define long-term goals including growth, market expansion, diversification, and operational improvements.
* Design and execute initiatives for business transformation and organizational objectives.
* Translate strategies into actionable plans with clear metrics and timelines.
* Manage strategic projects, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with priorities.
* Lead Board meetings, setting agendas and facilitating cross-functional discussions.
Corporate Development
* Identify and evaluate new growth opportunities, partnerships, and services.
* Collaborate across teams to foster strategic thinking and build organizational connections.
* Maintain relationships with stakeholders such as investors and industry leaders to influence strategic direction.
Market and Consumer Analysis
* Conduct market research to assess trends, dynamics, and the competitive landscape.
* Analyze macroeconomic factors and industry shifts impacting performance.
* Provide insights and recommendations on growth opportunities and risks.
* Develop financial models to evaluate strategic initiatives.
* Support decision-making with consumer analysis across functions.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
* At least 6 years of experience in strategy, corporate development, or management consulting with a successful track record.
* Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience influencing organizational change.
* Deep industry and market understanding relevant to our business.
