Team Lead Project Development – Renewable Energy

A growing renewable energy developer is looking for an experienced Team Lead Project Development to build and lead a regional project development team in North-East Germany. This role focuses on growing a pipeline of solar, wind and battery storage projects, managing development activities, and leading a team responsible for bringing projects from early-stage development through to Ready-to-Build.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
* Build and lead a regional project development team
* Provide guidance and management to project developers and land acquisition specialists
* Plan resources and manage the regional development pipeline
Project Development
* Identify and evaluate new opportunities for solar PV, wind and/or battery storage projects
* Lead the development of greenfield projects from site identification through to permitting
* Prioritise project opportunities and support regional growth strategy
Land Acquisition
* Oversee the identification and securing of suitable land for renewable projects
* Negotiate and conclude land lease agreements with landowners
* Work closely with land scouts, external partners and development partners
Permitting & Planning
* Coordinate all permitting and planning processes until projects reach Ready-to-Build
* Manage environmental studies, technical assessments and planning processes
* Work with municipalities, authorities and planning bodies
Stakeholder Management
* Build strong relationships with landowners, municipalities, grid operators and consultants
* Represent the company in meetings with local authorities and public stakeholders
Grid Connection & Technical Development
* Coordinate grid connection requests with network operators
* Assess grid capacity and connection costs
* Oversee technical studies related to grid integration
Project Management & Reporting
* Manage project budgets and monitor project economics
* Identify risks and track project progress
* Report regularly to senior management on pipeline progress
Strategic Development
* Support the creation of strategic partnerships and co-development opportunities
* Contribute to market analysis and growth strategy within the German renewable energy market
