Summary Of Role:

The Head of Merchant Operations (f/m/d) role is a key member of the senior management team, reporting only to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). You’ll have to maintain control of diverse business operations, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader. If you also have excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics, we’d like to meet you.

The goal of the Head of Merchant Operations position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth. The business is one of the fastest growing contributors to Global Payments worldwide.

The Head of Merchant Operations Commerz GlobalPay JV also plays a significant role in helping shape and develop the future business direction and strategy for the wider Global Payments Central European, European and Global businesses especially in merchant operations.

What Part Will You Play

1. Reporting to CEO and serving as an integral member of executive management team
2. Will be responsible for development and smooth running of Merchant Operations
3. Direct management and responsibility of a range of aspects for GP Thor JV including Merchant Operations, Complaint Management, Customer Onboarding, Partner & Customer Integrations
4. Define key KPIs with the business for reporting, monitoring and control
5. Manage assigned budget and keep it on targets.
6. Will set and drive a compelling, annual and multi-year operations strategy to ensure the business remains relevant and competitive in our domain.
7. Develops and drives coherent and holistic operations strategies to ensure customer satisfaction
8. Co-creator of JV culture (set-up of own culture based on mix of GP and CoBa different cultures)
9. Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
10. Fulfil company goals in own area of responsibility with strong drive, ability to achieve results and motivate own team
11. Develop the knowledge and expertise of team members to ensure their maximum performance and contribution to business result
12. Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
13. Ensures oversight of the associated operations risk and issues for the business.
14. Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
15. Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth. Establish performance standards, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
16. Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives
17. Write and submit reports to the CEO in all matters of importance
18. Participate in expansion activities, including implementation of new products and partners
19. Lead the Operations activities required to transition the organization to the target operating model and the migration off the legacy platform

Who We Are Looking For This Role:

20. BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus
21. Strong business and sales leadership background in a multi-national multi-channel company
22. History of working in different countries and speaking multiple languages
23. High developed commercial focus

26. Will have experience leading change and utilizing modern platform technologies
27. First class Team Leadership, motivational and coaching skills effective for deployment across a wide spectrum of people and processes
28. Ability to break new ground and apply tenacity and creativity to achieving strategic objectives
29. Ability to act as an advocate for the company in dealing with all internal and external parties
30. Ability to travel extensively
31. Ability to work in cross-culture, cross-language and cross-regulation environment
32. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels of seniority
33. Self-starter with a tenacious approach and a determination to succeed.
34. Proven experience as Chief Operating Office or relevant role
35. Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
36. Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
37. Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
38. Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
