As a Senior Unreal Engine Tools Engineer you’ll drive the development of our realworld one Development Kit (RDK) – a powerful, modular toolkit designed to streamline and automate the creation of cutting-edge Mixed Reality experiences. In this key role, you’ll design and implement scalable systems and tools that support every stage of the development process. This may include everything from customizable product templates and interaction frameworks to advanced training and troubleshooting systems, as well as tools that automate repetitive or complex workflows. Your work will directly enable our teams to build immersive, high-impact MR applications with greater speed, consistency, and high quality. Responsibilities Design and implement advanced tools and workflows that empower the development of cutting-edge Mixed Reality experiences within Unreal Engine. Drive the development of the realworld one Development Kit (RDK) supporting product templates, interaction systems, training and troubleshooting solutions, and process automation tools. Take full ownership of core systems, leading their architecture, implementation, iteration, and long-term maintenance. Serve as the go-to expert on Unreal Engine tools, offering solutions to complex technical challenges. Work side by side with designers, artists, and developers to ensure tools meet both creative vision and technical performance. Identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and contribute to establishing engineering best practices. Support and mentor other team members, sharing your knowledge and encouraging professional growth. Qualifications 5 years of experience in Unreal Engine tools development or a related area. Expert knowledge of Unreal Engine, C++, and custom tool development. Proven ability to develop, debug, and optimize complex systems. Experience using AI-based tools or workflows (e.g., for code generation, documentation, testing, or pipeline automation) to enhance productivity. Strong understanding of optimization techniques and performance tuning for large-scale projects. Proficient with Perforce or similar version control systems. Demonstrated ability to solve advanced technical problems & develop scalable solutions. Experienced with and enthusiastic about mentoring peers.
