A global technology leader with a rich engineering heritage is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to take ownership of tax strategy and advisory across its European operations. Based in Wiesbaden, you’ll join a business known for innovation, stability, and international reach, working at the centre of a full manufacturing and R&D hub while shaping the tax agenda for Germany and beyond.
This is a high-impact, advisory-focused position (not a compliance role). With tax filings and transfer pricing documentation outsourced to a Big Four provider, your focus will be on managing complex corporate tax audits in Germany, leading discussions with authorities and advisors, and providing strategic input to leadership across Europe. You’ll play a key role in guiding the company through significant transformation, including a planned demerger and future change in ownership, giving you exposure to major corporate tax challenges and cross-border transactions.
Reporting to the Group Head of Tax in the UK, you’ll lead a small European tax team and collaborate closely with counterparts in Asia-Pacific and global finance. The environment rewards professionals who combine technical excellence with commercial acumen and who can navigate ambiguity with confidence. A background in German corporate tax audits, gained in a Big Four firm or multinational group, is essential, as is fluency in both German and English.
