You can look forward to
* Monitoring and management of catastrophe risks – such as cyber, terrorism, or natural disaster risks – through the assessment of exposure to these risks
* Development of internal IT applications within the department
* Preparation, updating, and further development of scenario analyses
* Advising our business units (including our international locations) on issues related to the identification and monitoring of aggregates, as well as capacity tracking and planning
* Regular reporting on all key figures required for risk measurement for the Hannover Re Group, its subsidiaries, and external requirements
You come equipped with
* Master’s degree in (Business) or (Financial) Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable field of study
* Initial professional experience through internships is desirable
* Advanced programming skills (e.g. Python and MATLAB) as well as knowledge of databases
* German and English at a business-fluent level
* Strong analytical thinking skills and a confident demeanor when interacting with clients
* An international mindset and willingness to travel occasionally
