The Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine conducts fundamental and translational research in Systems Biology and Biomedicine. It focuses on neurodegenerative processes, especially Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
Your Role
As Financial Controller at the LCSB, you will work closely with research groups, management team, and Research Facilitators.
This position includes:
* Financial Operations & Support
* Prepare, verify, and maintain financial figures using Excel, Power BI, and SAP.
* Support financial ad hoc requests and analyses.
* Ensure accuracy and quality control of financial transactions and reports.
* Reporting & Analysis
* Maintain and improve financial reporting tools, cost models, and analytical procedures.
* Collect, interpret, and analyze financial data.
* Provide flexible support for ad hoc reporting, analyses, and projects.
* Planning & Forecasting
* Consolidate annual budgets and multi-year financial plans across departments.
* Maintain financial forecast models and monitor actual performance.
* Analyze variances and implement corrective actions.
* Systems & Processes
* Update and maintain SAP organisational unit structure.
* Review and improve financial processes for efficiency and consistency.
Your Profile
* A university degree in Economics, Business Management, Finance or Accounting is required.
* At least 5 years' experience in accounting/finance administration in a research context is necessary.
* Experience with third-party funded projects is an asset.
* You should have analytical skills and target-oriented thinking.
* Excellent computer literacy and knowledge in Excel, Power BI, and SAP are essential.
* Fluent English and French communication skills are required.
* You must be a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
