What you will do-
5. Development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities in support of overall divisional business objectives.
6. Develop and lead your team based in US and Germany as well as cross functional teams to guide the process of strategic commodity plans, consolidation strategy, and spend/supply assessments taking into account total product life cycle needs.
7. Leads sourcing analysis and selection process and performs cost analyses and make versus buy analyses as required.
8. Leads development of contract strategy. Negotiates, establishes, monitors and enforces supplier contracts and agreements.
9. Identify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans including market assessments, supplier's financial assessments, social responsibility, environment, ethics etc.
10. Obtain and communicate market condition information and technology trends related to commodities and suppliers. Utilize market trends to identify and implement appropriate cost controls and business strategy changes.
11. Lead the development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities in support of overall divisional business objectives.
12. Create and implement enterprise wide metrics, tools and processes to optimize sourcing and supplier activities.
13. Communicate key supplier management updates and decisions to multiple levels in the organization including Executive Leadership.
What you need-
14. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering or related field, required
15. Leadership experience is a must have
16. 7+ years in Supply Management with focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development, highly preferred
17. Engineering/technical background, highly preferred
18. Knowledge and application of supplier contract strategy, negotiations, contractual terms, and contract administration
19. Knowledge of continuous improvement and cost reduction methodologies
20. Experience with supplier metrics & measurement methodologies and supporting systems.
21. Strong skills in leadership, negotiations, influencing, communication & presentation, project management, troubleshooting & problem solving, analysis, strategic thinking, and collaborative team building.
22. Strong judgment with the ability to make and communicate timely and sound decisions
23. Fluent language skills in German and English speaking and writing
24. Valid car driving liscence class B
