Job Description
As Senior Manager Accounting Principles & External Reporting (m/f/diverse) you will be the contact for our various internal stakeholders as well as our external auditors with respect to specific accounting issues including major parts of the Annual Report
1. Preparation of the accounting for specific parts of the Annual Report and contact for internal and external auditors
2. Handling of Annual, Quarterly, Monthly and case-related accounting issues including coordination for required input
3. Prepare and execute advise and direct internal stakeholders to act in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for external reporting and apply basic accounting principles and internal guidelines
4. Subject matter expert for complex accounting issues and technical consultant for other colleagues
5. Updates of the Accounting Guidelines (Financial Reporting Manual) and Definition of Group Accounting Policies
6. Continuous monitoring of accounting standards regarding legal requirements or internal issues
7. Implementation of new IASB standards. Collaboration with group auditors
8. Provide trainings on Accounting issues
9. Participation in projects, in particular M&A projects or implementation of new accounting standards
Qualifications
10. University degree in Economics with a focus on Finance and Accounting
11. Profound professional experience at an accounting firm or in the financial and accounting department of an industrial company
12. Certified Public Accountant (German Wirtschaftsprüfer) exam recommended
13. Several years of professional experience with the preparation of consolidated financial statements
14. Profound knowledge of German GAAP (HGB)
15. Project management experience preferably in the field of accounting ( new IFRS implementation, compliance with regulatory standards etc.)
16. Business fluent English and German language skills (written and spoken)
17. Intercultural sensitivity and very good cross-culture communication and understanding
