Linux System Administrator – HPC Solutions Salary : €55,000 - €80,000 per year (depending on experience) Location : Leinfelden-Echterdingen (Hybrid & Remote Options Available After Training) Employment Type : Permanent, Full-time A leading provider of High-Performance Computing (HPC) solutions is looking for a Linux System Administrator to join their System Integration and Support team. This role involves installing, managing, and optimizing HPC environments, ensuring seamless operation and technical excellence. As a Linux System Administrator, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting complex HPC systems across storage, GPU clusters, and PC clusters. You will work remotely and on-site, providing technical consultation and troubleshooting for customer environments. On-the-job training will take place in Leinfelden-Echterdingen for 3-6 months, after which the role can transition to fully remote. Key Responsibilities Remote and on-site customer support for HPC infrastructure. Installation and configuration of storage, GPU, and PC cluster systems. Technical support and troubleshooting for customer projects. Error analysis, documentation, and process optimization. Testing and validation of new HPC hardware. Liaising with customers and sales teams to ensure smooth service delivery. Required Skills & Experience Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent certifications. Strong Linux/Unix administration experience in hardware and software environments. Background in technical customer support with high client interaction. Experience with HPC storage systems (Lustre, GPFS, BeeGFS). LPIC certification is an advantage. Fluent in German with good English skills. Driver’s license (Class B) required.
