A Day in the Life

On this role, you will prepare, coordinate, and execute installations of advanced navigation and robotic systems in leading hospitals. You will train surgeons and hospital staff on equipment use, provide live support for first cases in cranial and spinal surgery, coordinate clinical evaluations, deliver expert troubleshooting for complex cases across Europe, support regional sales teams, and lead high-value projects for capital equipment.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

1. Support the different regions across Western Europe with the deployment of our Navigation and Robotics Platform.
2. Helps countries with the preparation and execution of new robotics installations.
3. Acts as clinical expert in cranial and spinal surgery across Europe.
4. Supports more complex surgeries at key clients.
5. Trains Medtronic staff, surgeons and hospital staff on the use of the equipment at installations or specific trainings.
6. Coordinates and leads product demonstrations in clinical labs, demo sites or congresses.
7. Organizes clinical evaluations (1-2 weeks/ evaluation) in hospitals across Europe, working in the hospital of the prospecting client in close collaboration with hospital staff. Consistently and effectively communicate with the hospital to assure alignment of all involved hospital staff to further best outcome.
8. Is also involved in various projects with promotional, technical, educational or developmental aspects of the equipment
9. Organize logistics and regular maintenance of the demo equipment to guarantee readiness for use.
10. Other related tasks as assigned by manager

Required Knowledge and Experience:

11. Minimum 4 years of experience in OR and hospital environment, working with technical equipment (Surgical Navigation, Robotics and Imaging equipment)
12. English fluent and one more Western European languages
13. Ability to travel (80%)
14. Experience in Spine and Orthopaedic Surgery and Neurosurgery
15. Experience with Medtronic Spine Implants
16. Certified for the use of medical X-ray imaging
17. Additional Western European languages
18. International experience
19. Highly self-motivated individual that goes the extra mile to make things happen
20. Ability to build good relationships with hospital staff and surgeons
21. Strong interpersonal skills - ability to work cooperatively in a team
22. Technology savvy
23. Autonomous & resourceful
24. Strong organizational skill
25. Creativity
26. Positive and proactive can-do customer focused attitude
27. Ability to work in a matrix environment
