The Opportunity
This position works out of our Wiesbadenlocation- Abbott Diagnostics GmbH. This role develops and implements marketing activities that communicate the value proposition of the portfolio of Molecular Diagnostics at Abbott for the Infectious Disease product portfolio as determined by the EMEA Marketing Director.
Key focus of the role is the effective management of the product portfolio to achieve EMEA sales plan.Your Tasks:
1. Preparation and implementation of product marketing and launch plans with strategic positioning of Abbott in the Area and delivering tactical plan with selected Marketing tools to achieve goals set. Managing product marketing budget.
2. Continuous analysis of market and competitive trends, implementing necessary adjustments to marketing strategy as needed, and reporting back into Area peers and Global Strategic Marketing.
3. Close cooperation and alignment of marketing activities with Global Strategic Marketing peers, Area Scientific Affairs, and Commercial Excellence.
4. Supporting management in building, updating, and implementing business plans.
5. Serving as key marketing contact for sales organizations and distributors where appropriate
6. Fostering cooperation with other Abbott divisions
7. Create, review and distribute relevant product documentation
8. Organizing and supporting appropriate congresses/customer event activities; using digital and AI related tools
9. Travelling to client locations internationally across the Area as well as company meetings in alignment with EMEA Marketing Director.
Your Qualification:
10. Biological/medical, degree level education, Marketing or Business degree an advantage.
11. Excellent scientific background, proven international product management and marketing skills, experience in sales, and proven success in business achievements.
12. Preferred 3+ years’ experience in the diagnostics business in national and international roles.
13. Must have excellent communication skills and be equally at ease in one-in.one situations as well as group presentations and negotiations with healthcare establishment.
14. Must have extensive knowledge of healthcare provision in the Area and the IVD market in particular.
15. Must be savvy in digital marketing, social media and use of AI tools and agencies.
16. Well-organized with excellent follow-up skills and the ability to adjust and readjust priorities without confusion.
17. Fluent in English. Additional language relevant for the Area is a must.
