Senior IT Operations Technician Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver hands-on on-site L2 support, resolving complex issues to maintain efficient operations.
* Monitor help desk trends, identify recurring challenges, and drive improvements across IT services.
* Facilitate onboarding and training for new IT team members.
* Create and share clear training materials and documentation for the central IT L1 Support team.
* Act as the primary interface between the manufacturing site and central IT, ensuring seamless on-site project execution.
* Provide local insights to guide practical and effective IT solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Extensive professional experience as an IT technician, system administrator, or in a similar role, with a strong focus on L2 support within a manufacturing environment.
* Solid practical knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments (clients and servers), Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 services.
* Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP and LAN/WAN troubleshooting.
* Good knowledge of ITIL principles and best practices for incident management, problem management, and change management.
* Experience in first-line SAP support is considered an advantage.
* Proven project management skills.
* Knowledge of Operational Technology is an advantage.
* Excellent command of spoken and written German and English.
