Summary: The Collision Center Supervisor is responsible for the performance results, department supervision, and customer satisfaction in the Collision Center. Collision Center Supervisor oversees and accurately estimates necessary repairs and the cost of repairs to customer vehicles.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

1. Assists to improve operations in the Collision Center.

2. Provides input to upper management and Human Resources to make hiring and discipline decisions.

3. Training and supervises of Collision Center department employees.

4. Sets schedules and assigns tasks to Collision Center department employees.

5. Assists with assessment of what repairs are needed.

6. Assists with estimates of costs and price of vehicle repairs.

7. Communicates with insurance companies during the repair process to ensure coverage of all repairs.

8. Develops and maintains relationships with insurance companies to establish and retain DRP status.

9. Reviews collision center repair orders.

10. Establishes and maintains good vendor relationships.

11. Attends weekly manager meetings.

12. Maintains effective employee relations.

13. Maintains CSI at or above Company standards

14. Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area

15. Participates in required training

16. Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system

17. Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.

18. Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values

19. Complies with Company policies and procedures

20. Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.

21. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Desired Education:

√ Associate Degree

Field of Study/Work Experience:

o Accounting

o Automotive

o Business

o Human Resources

o Information Technology

Desired Work Experience:

o up to 3 years

√ 3-5 years

o 5+ years

Education/Experience:

Thorough knowledge of body repair methods. Supervisory experience preferred. Strong interpersonal skills.

Certificates and Licenses:

√ Valid Driver’s License

o Automobile Salesperson License

Computer Skills:

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Intermediate ability and knowledge of Collision Center Management System and additional software programs to support operations.

Communication Skills:

Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company

personnel and insurance adjusters.

Attendance Expectations:

The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit.

Environment Demands:

Duties are performed primarily in the Collision Center. Due to the nature of the position, may be exposed to various work environments and required to perform a variety of tasks. May be exposed to loud noise, vibration, paint-dust, and other body repair shop conditions.

Verbal and Writing Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to understand and follow technical manuals.
