You can look forward to these exciting tasks:
* Responsibility within the Batteries Business Unit for coordinating all Direct Purchasing and ASQE activities as well as steering VAVE idea generation, implementation, and alignment with BU-wide VA/VE targets and achievement
* Leadership of the assigned team in Direct Purchasing and ASQE within the Business Unit, including people development and qualification
* Full commercial responsibility for the Bill of Material of EB
* Representation of Purchasing in all relevant meetings and committees of the Business Unit, ensuring an optimal and proactive partnership between Purchasing, related business units, functional areas, and regions
* Maximization of sourcing potential through alignment of sourcing committees, volume bundling, and bonus payments, and steering of awards in collaboration with other relevant purchasing departments
* Securing flexible allocation of Purchasing capacities between Business Units for ASQE and Program Purchasing based on demand planning
This is what you bring to us:
* University degree in Business Administration with technical understanding or Industrial Engineering and minimum ten years relevant experience in an international manufacturing company, ideally automotive sector
* Several years leadership experience of interdisciplinary and international teams and managers within a matrix organization
* Profound cross-departmental knowledge of purchasing and quality combined with strong communication, networking and negotiation skills
* Empathy, straightforwardness and solution orientation towards employees, customers and suppliers combined with team spirit and cross-cultural capabilities
* Confident appearance at all hierarchical levels with reliable and well-structured working style and willingness for global travel
* Fluency in English and ability to work in an international matrix environment using automotive-specific standards and requirements such as APQP, FMEA, MSA, PPAP and SPC
