Your Role As the Finance & Administration Manager for Pico GmbH, you will be the operational backbone of our German entity, managing day-to-day financial operations, bookkeeping, and office administration. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager in the UK, you will act as the vital bridge between the German subsidiary and the global finance team. You will take full ownership of enhancing local financial controls, ensuring strict compliance with German tax legislation, and overseeing daily sales processing and administration to maintain smooth, compliant, and efficient business operations. What You’ll Be Doing Processing daily financial transactions and invoices accurately, performing comprehensive monthly account reconciliations, and managing credit control to resolve payment discrepancies. Ensuring strict compliance with German tax legislation, managing timely submissions for VAT and corporation tax, and maintaining robust internal financial controls. Collaborating closely with the UK team to develop annual budgets, monitoring actual expenditure against forecasts, and reporting financial variances. Reviewing local financial data to prepare detailed monthly and annual financial reports for both internal leadership and external stakeholders. Overseeing the daily administrative workflows of the German office, including hands-on management of daily sales order processing. Acting as the primary point of contact for the UK corporate finance team and coordinating directly with external service providers for tax preparation and auditing. What You’ll Need A university degree in accounting. Full professional proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken) to manage local compliance and communicate with UK leadership daily. Proven, hands-on experience in a similar corporate accounting or bookkeeping role, with strong skills in developing budgets and management accounts. A strong operational awareness of German tax legislation, statutory requirements, and financial regulations. Advanced, demonstrable experience utilizing Microsoft Excel for financial modelling and data analysis. A proactive, self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain sharp business acumen. A foundational understanding of statutory accounts and familiarity with the financial audit process.
