About Working at envelio Too easy is boring! Together, we are on a mission to drive forward the energy transition. We love what we do, and we are unafraid to dive in. We believe in taking ownership of our work and in continuously growing and evolving. In short: own it, love it, grow with it. We are a humble team of coffee and maté lovers with over 20 nationalities. With our geek humor, our love for emojis and random facts is only natural. Over 130 envelians are already on board. Dive in and thrive! Your Role As a Localization Operations Specialist, you ensure that our localization operations run smoothly, efficiently, and at scale. You work at the intersection of Product Design, Engineering, and our external language service providers who localize the IGP into 3 languages. In this role, you will improve localization workflows, coordinate external partners, and implement multilingual updates to our platform and documentation. How You Make an Impact Planning and managing external localization cycles: You strategically plan external localization batches and ensure timely, high-quality deliveries. Coordinating our language service providers: You manage the collaboration with our LSPs, including handoffs, queries, and QA loops. Optimizing our localization toolchain: You continuously optimize the process chain between our localization tool CrowdIn and integrated tools like Gitlab and Figma to increase scalability. Driving improvements in our localization processes: You refine our processes and tooling as you help shape our overarching localization strategy. Handling wording requests: You proofread and translate strings in our platform, from small UI adjustments to entire apps. You collaborate with teams like Design, Product Management, and Engineering to find the best solution. Your Profile You hold a university degree in a field like translation studies, technical communication, language technology, or terminology management. You have gained solid translation skills through your studies and possibly through projects, internships, or positions, and you are able to familiarize yourself with complex subject areas for translations. You are confident using TMS platforms such as Trados, Phrase, or Lokalise. Experience with CrowdIn is a plus. Ideally, you have prior experience in localization or translation management. Previous project management experience in other sectors is also an advantage. You can work both strategically and in a hands-on way. Ideally, you have a basic understanding of development environments (e.g., PyCharm, VS Code) and version control systems (e.g., Gitlab, Github), or you’re eager to learn. Your translation languages are German and English. You enjoy learning new skills and growing in a cross-functional environment. You want to help shape a growing area of responsibility. How we localize Agile approach based on the Toyota Kata methodology: Together we define target conditions and refine our workflows through short, iterative steps. Design-stage localization: We work closely with our designers to provide value early in the development process.
