Topics such as evaluation of mergers & acquisitions and major investments, financing, the preparation of published statements, the management of financial risks and advising the board of directors on economic decisions are all part of our daily job. In collaboration with our globally networked communities, we continuously develop and enhance our processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporate Finance strives to be at the forefront of BASF's sustainability journey. We, the team Group Performance Management, bundle forecasting, planning and risk management, including digitalization and analytics for steering the BASF Group. Sustainability is one of our key initiatives including clear targets and priorities. We also host several IT solutions that enable BASF’s business units to efficiently manage and optimize their Mass Balance product portfolio on a global scale. We are looking for a working student who can commit up to 20 hours per week for a period of 12 months, starting from the earliest possible date.
1. You will support our teams in the daily business at the interface between sustainability, IT and corporate finance.
2. For our communities you will develop a training concept, design the required digital trainings and training videos.
3. You will support our global user communities.
4. In addition, you keep our information and training materials updated and actively contribute to internal communication activities.
5. All in all, you work flexibly and independently in a hybrid set-up (working from home and on-site).
6. Last but not least, you contribute your valuable ideas to the ongoing conceptional development of our digital solutions in the area of sustainability.
QUALIFICATIONS
7. Bachelor's or Master's student, e.g. in the field of economics, psychology, computer or natural science
8. structured, conscious and self-motivated working style
9. interest in sustainability, finance and/or digitalization
10. first practical experience, ideally in a global company
11. competent handling of basic Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
12. fluent communication skills in English and German
13. first experience with a video-editing software, ideally Camtasia, is an advantage, as well as basic knowledge of database structures and / or web programming
