Project Overview
Thermoelectric cooling has potential due to its solid-state technology but is limited mainly to bismuth telluride (Bi2Te3), which faces scalability issues. We seek sustainable, high-performance Mg-based materials to improve thermoelectric cooling technology. The project involves synthesizing thermoelectric materials using techniques like powder metallurgy, aiming to produce high-quality results, publish findings, and contribute to next-generation cooling systems.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should have an MSc (or expect to graduate before the start date) in Solid-state Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related fields. Experience with thermoelectric materials is advantageous. The candidate should be passionate about research, possess good communication skills, and be team-oriented.
