Application Software Development Manager (all genders welcome)

Our central device software team is vital, providing essential development expertise to interdisciplinary project teams. Our agile development processes utilize cloud-based, decentralized infrastructure with a standardized tech stack. Due to our involvement in critical infrastructure, our solutions meet stringent regulatory standards for security and reliability.
What You Can Expect
* Hiring and developing a top-tier engineering team responsible for design, development, and operations
* Managing and mentoring engineers, fostering organizational health and supporting career development
* Guiding complex technical decisions, design trade-offs, and feature prioritization
* Defining lean software development processes and introducing tools and pipeline strategies to enhance quality
* Participating in strategic planning to achieve technical and business goals, define technical direction, and manage resource allocation across multiple project teams

What You Bring

* Deep understanding of full software development lifecycle practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live-site operations.
* Proven expertise in software architecture and system design.
* Hands-on experience with cloud-based applications development (.NET, C#, C++, Python).
* Track record of successfully managing software developers.
* Experience effectively communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to gather requirements, explain product features, and articulate technical designs and strategy.
* Proven skills in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and coaching teams of software developers to enhance their effectiveness.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluent English required.
