Senior Consultant – Renewable Energy

About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Consultant to lead and deliver diverse consultancy assignments within offshore wind and broader renewable energy projects. In this role, you will act as project manager, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality delivery on time and within budget. You will also play a key part in growing internal capabilities by mentoring colleagues and contributing to business development through your industry network.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead technical due diligence (TDD) and lender’s technical advisory (LTA) projects across various phases including development, feasibility, procurement, construction, and operations & maintenance.
* Manage and coordinate teams of engineers and consultants to ensure project milestones and deliverables meet client expectations.
* Review employer’s requirements and lead work packages related to project development and due diligence.
* Prepare and submit tenders and proposals independently in collaboration with department leadership.
* Maintain consistent technical excellence and quality assurance across all deliverables.
* Share knowledge and mentor junior team members, supporting their professional growth.
* Monitor relevant industry and regulatory changes and advise on their potential impact.
Candidate Profile:
* 5–8 years’ experience in engineering or renewable energy consultancy, with a focus on offshore wind-related technical due diligence and lender advisory in M&A and project finance contexts.
* Degree-qualified in engineering or a related technical discipline.
* Strong organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills with a proactive and pragmatic approach.
* Experience leading projects and mentoring junior team members.
* Project management certification (e.g., IPMA, PMI) is beneficial but not required.
* Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: wind turbine technology, floating wind, supply chain, electrical systems, cables, offshore substations, foundations, transport & installation.
* Established network within the renewable energy sector, including buyers, sellers, and lenders.
* Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in additional European (e.g., German, French) or Asian languages (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, Korean) is a plus.
* Strong commercial awareness and business development mindset.
