An opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Lead to join a leading international engineering and construction contractor delivering large-scale data centre and technical building projects across Germany.
This role will be based from the Berlin, supporting major construction projects and ensuring that works are delivered in line with German building regulations, permitting requirements and statutory compliance standards.
You will work closely with project teams, authorities, inspectors and consultants to ensure projects remain compliant from permitting and design through to inspection, completion and final building acceptance.

The Role As A Compliance Manager Will Include
• Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with German building regulations and statutory requirements
• Managing compliance with building permits (Baugenehmigung) and fire protection concepts (Brandschutzkonzept)
• Coordinating with certified inspectors (Prüfsachverständige) and specialist consultants
• Managing compliance documentation, reporting and tracking systems
• Supporting communication with local authorities and fire departments
• Monitoring regulatory inspections and ensuring defects are resolved through to completion
• Supporting project teams with regulatory and compliance requirements throughout the construction lifecycle
• Conducting site visits where required to support inspections and approvals
As A Compliance Manager You Will Need
• Background in construction, engineering or technical building services
• Experience working on complex construction projects such as data centres, industrial buildings or technical facilities
• Strong knowledge of German building regulations and approval processes
• Experience working with authorities, inspectors and external consultants
• Strong documentation, reporting and organisational skills
• Good IT skills including MS Office and Excel
• Fluent German and English
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
