MasterSearch are currently working with a Global leader in Semiconductor equipment at wafer level who have a number of different solutions used widely across the industry.
Our client is looking for a Customer Support Engineer to join their team Dresden based Service team. The role will be remote when not on customer sites but you will be responsible for travelling to clients in Dresden and close surrounding areas.
Location – Remote in Dresden or surrounding areas
Main Responsibilities;
* Provide technical support / remote technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of Automation systems
* Perform on-site servicing, corrective maintenance, installation and qualification of company product(s), primarily in cleanroom environments
* Serve as customer contact on technical and service-related problems
* Conduct test procedures to ensure proper product performance, and diagnoses problems at installation
* Implement upgrades and hardware/software change orders
* Trouble-shoot complex technical hard-ware and software issues at customer sites and liaise with the factory to resolution
* Complete appropriate reporting to ensure traceability of Problem Statements, Resolutions Summaries and Corrective Actions. As well as ensuring accurate input to enable Escalation triggers and analysis of Product Non-Conformance trends and Utilisation
* Concentration is on-going customer support
Profile;
* Ideally Degree qualified, or Diploma in higher education within a Technical discipline
* A natural problem solver with great attention to detail
* Strong electromechanical skills and troubleshooting expertise
* Ideally hold previous experience of working on Automated semi-conductor technology
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (written, oral) using business-friendly and user-friendly language
* Ability to work independently and as part of European service team
* Self-motivated, results-driven, and well organized; able to handle multiple tasks with a clear sense of ownership and priority
* Full Driving Licence and Valid passport are essential for this role for travel within EU and US for required training and customer support
* Willingness to travel to support customers. Most travel local but European support occasionally is possible
Languages;
* Fluent in English, German B2 level minimum
