Essential Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
8. 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including analytics, brand, legal, martech, and media agencies, to bring high-impact campaigns to life. By leveraging data-driven insights, you’ll continuously refine strategies, unlock new opportunities, and deliver measurable results for PayPal’s consumer business.

You day-to-day
9. Define and execute paid media strategies across the funnel, identifying new growth opportunities and driving measurable impact
10. Own the relationship with the paid media agency in Germany, including strategic planning, roadmapping, and improving ways of working
11. Partner closely with brand and integrated marketing teams to ensure high-quality creative delivery, timely execution, and continuous testing
12. Use data to drive campaign optimization in collaboration with Analytics, BI, and Martech teams
13. Collaborate with international media teams to share learnings and scale best practices
14. Support product marketing in building business cases and integrating product innovations into paid media strategies
15. Work with Privacy, Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams to evaluate and enable new media opportunities
16. Optimize the end-to-end customer journey, including landing pages and app store experiences, to improve conversion rates
17. Drive operational improvements by identifying and implementing more efficient cross-functional workflows
18. Manage key publisher partnerships (e.g., Google, Meta) and strengthen channel performance
19. Lead testing agendas across audiences, creatives, formats, and tactics to continuously improve performance
20. Partner with Analytics to evolve measurement frameworks and incrementality approaches
21. Ensure alignment with consumer segment teams (acquisition, engagement, brand) and provide regular performance updates
22. Stay up to date with industry trends and identify new opportunities to enhance campaign performance
23. Collaborate with Martech, Media Enablement, and Media Ops teams to improve measurement, data signals, and platform capabilities
What you need to succeed
We’re looking for a strategic and results-driven marketer who combines strong ownership with the ability to influence across teams, and who brings a deep understanding of the German market and its media landscape. You’re equally comfortable navigating complexity, driving alignment, and delivering measurable impact across the funnel. To succeed in this role, you ideally bring:
24. 8+ years of experience in digital marketing, with full-funnel exposure.
25. Experience running media campaigns in the German market.
26. Strong knowledge of paid media channels across digital and offline (TV, OOH, audio).
27. Proven ability to develop and execute paid media strategies aligned with business goals.
28. Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and ability to turn insights into action.
29. Experience managing and guiding agency partners, including planning and prioritization.
30. Track record of working cross-functionally with analytics, martech, and creative teams.
31. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align across teams.
32. Comfortable presenting ideas and pitching growth opportunities to leadership.
33. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
34. Ability to operate autonomously, take ownership, and navigate ambiguity effectively.
35. Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
36. Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and key advertising platforms.
37. Ability to manage multiple priorities across different business segments.
38. Curiosity and adaptability, with a willingness to learn new channels and technologies
39. Experience building and presenting business cases to support new initiatives
