Your Tasks About the Role As a Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineer (m/f/d), you will take on a key role in the development of our high-performance subsea communication systems. You will be responsible for the overall mechanical design and integration of mechatronic systems – from concept through to series production – working closely with the Design Engineer, Electronics, and Software teams. You combine a strong mechanical engineering background with solid understanding of electronics and software, ensuring that all components interact seamlessly within complex system environments. Your Responsibilities Ownership of the mechanical design and integration of mechatronic systems (pressure housings, connectors, sensor mounts, damping, thermal management, etc.) Development of concepts, calculations, and simulations (e.g., for strength, temperature, sealing, vibration) Interface between Design Engineering, Electronics Development, and System Engineering Support mechanical integration of PCBs, connectors, and sensors Overtaking and/or contribution to 3D CAD modeling and technical drawing tasks Support during assembly, prototyping, and testing (including design reviews and validation) Preparation of documentation, BOMs, and production data Close collaboration with suppliers, manufacturing partners, and test facilities Your Profile Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field Several years of experience in developing complex mechanical or mechatronic systems Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or equivalent) Solid understanding of electronics and software at a system level Experience with engineering processes, standards, and testing procedures (industrial or subsea domain a plus) Understanding of communication technologies in the field of underwater or marine technology would be a plus Independent, structured, and interdisciplinary working style Strong communication and teamwork skills We Offer Training and Continuing Education Retirement Pension Plan Flexible Working Hours Home Office Commuter Ticket Employee Events Parking Lot Interested?
