Hauptaufgaben Serves as a senior journeyman Pipe fitter with full responsibility for layout, planning, and execution of projects that often require the application of specialized techniques and methods. Since a variety of non-routine assignments must be performed, special skills and dexterity are required. Determines methods and techniques, and materials and tools best suited to achieve required results. Installs, modifies, and regulates all kinds of heating and ventilation systems and equipment, applying the full range of skills and techniques in compliance with practices and standards established in the job profile of this trade. Independently plans and lays out work from building plans, blueprints, and sketches, which are often incomplete or otherwise complicated, and completes them. Cuts, bends. and saws pipes, installs them. and performs related work using and maintaining the full variety of typical trade tools, especially machines and electric tools. Plans and completes complicated and/or special routing, placement and installation of systems, components thereof, and equipment. Tests systems and equipment for proper operation. Determines and locates hard-to-find defects and arranges for their repair. Insures proper and safe operation of all systems and equipment; insures safety rules are obeyed. Renders technical advice to personnel in lower grades and performs on-the-job instructions. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifikationsanforderungen A4-5: Completed vocational training of at least 30 months in the appropriate trade.
