Job description:Your Mission: Drive the Digital Pulse of the Trade:As SPOT ON Trade Manager for our Intra North Europe services, you will be the architect of short-term commercial success. This is not a back-office role — it's the front line of decision-making, where your market insight, pricing expertise, and digital know-how will translate directly into profitable voyages.You will lead the commercial development of SPOT ON — our digital sales channel — ensuring that every quotation maximizes vessel utilization, boosts contribution margins, and strengthens our competitive position. This means balancing the agility of short-term pricing with the discipline of long-term profitability, in close collaboration with Trade Managers, the Cargo Flow team, and our agency network.Key Responsibilities:Set the strategy – Define and implement winning commercial and pricing policies for short-term quotations in your assigned geography.Own vessel performance – Monitor load factors, track volume commitments, and challenge performance gaps to ensure optimal utilization.Shape the market – Harness competitive intelligence to anticipate market movements and turn insights into actionable offers.Champion digital sales – Promote the Group's digital platforms, accelerate customer adoption, and drive digitalization within the agency network.Protect and grow the P&L – Collaborate on yield management to optimize cargo mix and contribution margins; prepare and track weekly P&L with precision and transparency.Influence deployment and cost control – Contribute to vessel deployment planning, drive cost optimization initiatives, and propose structural improvements to enhance profitability.Resolve bottlenecks – Act quickly to address operational issues involving equipment, space, or service delivery, safeguarding both customer satisfaction and commercial results.Lead with data – Use advanced analytics to identify opportunities, support pricing decisions, and guide strategic improvements.Skills & Quaifications:Master's degree in International Business, Digital Marketing, Transport, Logistics, or a related field.3–5 years of experience in commercial, pricing, or trade management roles within shipping or logistics.Strong commercial instinct, proven P&L management experience, and a track record of achieving performance targets.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools; ability to translate numbers into strategy.Excellent command of English (spoken and written); additional languages — particularly Spanish or German — are an advantage.Natural influencer with exceptional stakeholder management skills; confident in navigating an international matrix environment.Agile problem-solver, able to deliver results under pressure without losing strategic focus.Why This Role Is Your Next Career Step:This is an opportunity to join the beating heart of CMA CGM's European short sea operations — where commercial strategy meets real-time execution, and your decisions are visible from the quayside to the boardroom.You will gain direct exposure to high-level decision-making, work in a collaborative head office environment, and play a pivotal role in shaping the success of one of the most dynamic trade lanes in the CMA CGM network.In Hamburg, you'll be at the centre of the action — with the scope, autonomy, and support to make a measurable impact.
