As a Functional Test Engineer, you are responsible for the verification and validation of embedded electronic systems in the field of e-mobility. Working in an ASPICE-oriented development environment, you contribute to ensuring the quality, functionality, and safety compliance of automotive products with safety-relevant requirements.
A key focus of this role is the setup, commissioning, customization, and maintenance of automated test environments based on the Vector VT system (VT-Test). You will conduct functional tests, analyze test results, document your findings, and support development teams in identifying and resolving errors throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
This position is aimed at engineers with initial to intermediate professional experience in the field of automotive testing and the development of embedded systems.

Your tasks
Test execution and validation: Carrying out functional verification and validation activities for embedded control units (ECUs) and electronic systems in the field of electromobility.
Test bench handling: Commissioning, configuration, adaptation and maintenance of automated test environments based on the Vector VT system.
Test development: Specification, creation and maintenance of automated and semi-automated test cases within the framework (e.g. vTESTstudio, CANoe).
Analysis and documentation: Analysis of system and security requirements for the derivation of test specifications as well as the complete documentation and creation of test reports in accordance with ASPICE guidelines.
Error and interface management: Investigation of test errors, conducting root cause analyses and close interdisciplinary collaboration with software and system development to correct errors.
Your profile
Education: Successfully completed studies (Bachelor/Master) in electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, automotive engineering or a comparable technical field.
Professional experience: Initial or substantial professional experience in the verification and testing of automotive electronics as well as in dealing with embedded systems.
Tool knowledge: Practical experience with the Vector toolchain (e.g. VT-System, CANoe, CANalyzer) as well as a basic understanding of automotive bus systems (CAN, LIN).
Process and methodological knowledge: Knowledge of automotive development processes (ASPICE) and ideally certification according to ISTQB or knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262).
Language skills: Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken, for working in an international environment.
