You’ll prepare for key meetings with internal colleagues, gearing up for an important client discussion. As a pivotal player in designing the FACTS plant - whether it’s SynCons, STATCOMs, or Storage - you’ll coordinate across engineering, procurement, commissioning, and logistics to craft the most efficient layout solutions. Expect to engage in dynamic discussions via Microsoft Teams, collaborating with your interdisciplinary project team to enhance your layout concepts. Your afternoon will feature a face-to-face meeting with the customer, where you’ll present your innovative solutions, address technical questions, and navigate change requests. Following this, you’ll collaborate with your project team to outline the next steps in the design process, ensuring timely delivery of updates.How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Responsible for the overall plant design of FACTS systems, considering customer specifications, country‑specific standards, and EHS requirements
2. Lead and manage a global project team of engineers with responsibility for plant design, primary engineering, acoustics, and seismic topics
3. Coordinate interfaces between multiple engineering disciplines involved in the 3D design process to ensure an integrated design with a strong focus on quality and on‑time delivery
4. Ensure project objectives are aligned with organizational goals and customer expectations
5. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
6. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to project management and line management
What You Bring
7. University degree in engineering or a comparable education in a technical field with corresponding professional experience
8. Professional experience in turnkey projects, ideally within Power Plants, HVDC, or FACTS systems
9. Project management experience with a solid grasp of methodologies and tools, and the ability to manage multiple topics simultaneously while prioritizing tasks effectively
10. Leadership skills that inspire and motivate interdisciplinary teams, along with experience in managing cross-functional teams within a matrix organization
11. Excellent communication skills in both English and German, capable of conveying complex technical topics to diverse audiences
12. Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities as well as basic knowledge of CAD tools (, Inventor, NX, E3D, or similar) or a willingness to learn
