We look forward to welcoming a kind and compassionate Au Pair who supports our family and household organisation, and feels like part of the family. The Au Pair will mostly work alongside me (mom) caring for Xaver as their primary and most important responsibility. This includes helping him learn through play, sensory activities, art projects, music, games, time at the playground, speaking Spanish with him, and preparing snacks and occasional meals. Secondary tasks include light cleaning, occasional help with laundry, and running small errands as needed in town. Support is needed Monday through Friday, not exceeding 6 hours of work per day. However, we hope to find someone who can be flexible when needed/as possible, and we of course want to offer you flexibility for your own adventures and hobbies, too! We offer your monthly salary, room and board, health insurance, a German class (either online or in person - the language school is less than a 10 minute walk from our home to meet new friends in town!), our full support through your Visa and travel processes, and a calm, welcoming home atmosphere. Our town is small enough that when you go somewhere, people will remember you and know your name. Everything is within walking distance, and there are lots of playgrounds and green areas to walk/jog/bike and be outdoors. It's still big enough to enjoy a variety of restaurants, community activities, and cultural celebrations (like food festivals, Frühlingsfest, Christmas markets, etc). The train station is a 12 minute walk from our home, and Munich Central Station is a 20 minute train ride away to explore the city (or connect to anywhere else that you'd like to go). Even better, Tengersee and Schliersee are less than 30 minutes from our home by train to enjoy a dip in the lake, beautiful hiking, or explore the cozy café's all around. I loved being an Au Pair here myself, because I found lots of activities to enjoy with the children I cared for in the area while I was working, and plenty of things to do myself so I still felt independent, made friends, and had plenty of opportunity to speak German in and outside of the house. I know that you will, too!
