As this change requirement has a cascading impact on several engineering fields, you take the lead and coordinate with several project engineers from other departments on the tasks and timeline.
After aligning with the project team, you start crafting the 3D layout model in your CAD tool and implement design changes based on the agreed specifications.
In the afternoon, you set up a follow-up meeting with the project team to discuss the implementation and any findings you had during your work.
The day concludes with a project status update to your line manager and technical feedback sessions with team specialists.
How You'll Make an Impact Design and develop HVDC Take full responsibility on primary engineering in projects, considering the topics of 3D model development, general arrangement drawings, electromechanical calculations acc.
IEC standards, busbar and clamp design, earthing in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent technical qualification with relevant professional experience Advanced knowledge of CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Siemens NX, Primtech) and earthing tools (e.g., TERRA, CDEGS) Extensive professional experience in international turnkey projects, ideally in grounding for HVDC, FACTS, or substations Project management skills ensuring adherence to timelines, costs, and quality standards Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills combined with motivation, willingness to learn, and passion for the role Profcient in German (C1) and English (C1) as well as willingness to travel over 30% About the Team The Project Entity team is responsible for world class execution and the successful delivery of complex projects across all Business Areas within Siemens Energy.
