* Conducting research in the fields of low latency for real-time communication and QUIC
* Participating in the development of transmission schemes, protocols and cross-layer optimizations for contributing to relevant standardization bodies
* Implementing prototypes involving congestion control, real-time communication and QUIC to optimize for Quality of Service (QoS) based on Artificial Intelligence (AI)
What you contribute
* You are a student in communications/electrical engineering, computer science, or similar fields at a German university
* Good understanding of 5G network architecture and protocols
* Good knowledge of the following programming languages: C++, C#, Rust
* Good coding skills in terms of efficiency, readability and cleanliness
* Creative thinking and interest in novel technologies
* Good communication skills and teamwork spirit
* Excellent spoken and written English

The position is initially limited to 1 year. An extension is explicitly desired.
The monthly working time is 80 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
