Indirect Procurement Manager, KONE Doors Business (KDB)
The Indirect Procurement Category Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing and category management for indirect categories critical to the effective and efficient operation of KONE Doors Business (KDB). The role supports KDB’s standalone operating model by ensuring continuity of operations, risk mitigation, cost competitiveness, and supplier consolidation across all KDB units.
The role has end-to-end ownership of assigned indirect procurement categories across multiple KDB countries. Typical categories may include ICT, Facilities, Car fleet, Tools and Professional services (HR, marketing, finance, insurances). The scope includes supplier selection, contracting, onboarding, performance management, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities in this role include:
1. Develop and execute indirect category strategies aligned with KDB business priorities and operational needs.
2. Identify, evaluate, onboard, and consolidate suppliers to support KDB standalone operations.
3. Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives including RFQs/RFPs, negotiations, and contract award.
4. Negotiate and manage supplier agreements to ensure cost competitiveness, service quality, and risk mitigation.
5. Monitor category performance, including spend analysis, savings delivery, and supplier KPIs.
6. Identify and mitigate supply chain and operational risks within assigned categories.
7. Actively identify and lead procurement and process development initiatives within KDB. This includes coordination and development of streamlined purchasing process for indirect categories.
8. Ensure compliance with KONE and KDB policies, governance requirements, and applicable regulations.
9. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders like Finance, Legal, P&C, IT, Logistics and Frontline teams to ensure operational continuity.
To succeed in this role you’d have:
10. Proven experience in procurement in international environment, preferably within indirect categories.
11. Professional fluency in English and French.
12. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field. Professional procurement certification (e.g. CIPS/MCIPS) or Lean Six Sigma certification is considered an advantage.
13. Ability to operate in ambiguous, transforming, and multi-country environments.
14. Proactive and hands-on approach with strong sense of ownership and accountability.
