Our Excelitas site in Regen is our centre of excellence for high-precision optics. From development to production on state-of-the-art machines, specialists work here with passion to meet all customer requirements on a daily basis. A wide range of highly precise optical components are reliably supplied to a wide variety of markets and applications. Examples of applications include dental cameras and endoscopes in medical applications, head-up displays in the aerospace industry, aerial cameras and a wide range of special solutions in the field of research and development.
Main responsibilities
* Providing disciplinary and technical leadership to employees across multiple segments
* Ensuring compliance with occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations in the areas under your responsibility
* Experience in the field of technical optics is a advantage
* Developing staffing and equipment schedules to optimize capacity utilization
* Responsibility for achieving daily KPIs in the assigned segments (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People – SQDCP)
* Planning and monitoring of processes and capacities to ensure smooth manufacturing operations
* Supporting the further development of modern methods such as Lean Production (Kanban, Kaizen, 6S) to increase efficiency
* Monitoring of production costs and definition of measures for reduction
* Achievement of the segment targets defined in the annual plan (X-Matrix)
* Supporting all assigned employees in accordance with the Excelitas Operations System (EOS)
* Identifying and implementing optimization potential, increasing production flexibility, and introducing new production processes in collaboration with Process Engineering
Requirements
* Technical vocational training with advanced training as a technician (m/f/d) or a successfully completed technical degree or comparable professional experience
* Several years of professional experience; leadership experience is desirable
* Strong commitment to quality and responsibility, as well as an independent, proactive, and team-oriented approach to thinking and working
* Very good German and good English skills
* Proficiency in common software (SAP, MS Office, Power BI)
* Hands-on approach
* Customer focus
