About You and This Role
Dow Polyurethanes & CAV is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Customer Manager (m/f/d) within our Chlor-Alkali Vinyl business in Europe. In this role, you will lead the development and management of both existing and new customer relationships, driving sales of Dow’s products and solutions while uncovering new opportunities to meet evolving customer needs.
Your focus will be on expanding market share and capturing growth opportunities across the business portfolio. Success in this role requires exceptional selling and negotiation capabilities, a deep understanding of market dynamics and key stakeholders, and the ability to identify industry trends that translate into profitable business outcomes.
You will be responsible for managing large, complex, and geographically diverse accounts, with the primary goal of maintaining and growing them in alignment with the strategic sales and marketing plan. Your ability to energize and motivate others toward achieving sales targets will be key to your success.
Responsibilities
1. Manages account portfolio - prepares and implements account plans.
2. Leads and coordinates customer relationships.
3. Develops and executes sales/marketing plan, delivering both value and volume.
4. Collects and utilizes market intelligence to shape sales/marketing plan.
5. Leads/conducts negotiations and implements price change.
6. Collaborates with other function(s) stakeholders to deliver improving CX results.
7. Uses CRM, DSR, CMT, Smart Pricing at “expert” level.
8. Delivers growth, including cross business opportunities.
9. Understands short vs long term trade offs and is able to articulate them for win solutions.
Qualifications
10. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Business administration or related fields.
11. Minimum 5 years of work experience in market facing functions, such as Sales, Marketing, Business Research, Application Development, or Technical Service is required.
12. Fluency in English and at least one other European language, both written and spoken in a business environment is a must.
13. Willingness to travel across Europe up to 60% of the time.

14. Solid interpersonal, networking, teamwork, communication, collaboration and negotiation skills.
15. Strong Business acumen and professional level of computer literacy is a requirement.
16. Candidates must demonstrate high level of leadership and credibility and work independently.
17. Candidates are expected to understand the business indicators, external market factors, market demands, value chain, source of growth.
18. Candidates are also expected to define risk adjusted financial projections.
